Ali Banat was an inspiration, a reminder for us all to work towards our Akhirah. Our destination, with Allah swt. By keeping his story alive, thousands of youth will be inspired to strive for those in need, in the same way.

About Ali Banat

Ali Banat was a young man from Sydney, Australia, who lived a life that many of us dream about. By the age of 29, he had built a successful business from the ground up, enjoying the fruits of his hard work with his family and friends.

He appreciated the comfort and abundance that his success brought him, embracing the opportunities that life had to offer.

But everything changed when Ali received a life-altering diagnosis: cancer. This devastating news served as a profound reminder that our time on this earth is limited, a precious gift not to be taken for granted.

This diagnosis forced Ali to reflect deeply on the life he had lived so far. He realized that while he had achieved much in this world, his true investment needed to be in the life that comes after—his Akhirah. He knew that the material wealth he had accumulated could not accompany him to the next life.

Ali faced a critical decision. With his days suddenly numbered, he could have easily succumbed to despair, as many do when faced with such a diagnosis. But Ali chose a different path. He saw his illness as an opportunity—a chance to make a lasting impact in this world and to secure his place in the next.

In a remarkable act of faith and generosity, Ali sold everything he owned and embarked on a journey that would change countless lives. In 2016, he founded the Muslims Around The World Project, starting in Togo. With his own resources, Ali began by feeding orphans and widows, providing them with hope and support.

He invested in farming tools to help communities become self-sufficient, dug wells to provide clean water, built a mosque for prayer, and opened a school for children to learn and grow.
What began as a personal mission in one small community has since expanded to over 30 countries, impacting millions of lives.

Ali’s legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and unwavering faith. His work has fed more than 90 million people, a testament to the incredible difference one person can make.

Though Ali is no longer with us, his legacy lives on—a legacy that belongs to all of us. It began with Ali, and now, it continues with you.
